Dubbed "The Humourous Chest" these bureaus were offered by the famous luxury furniture brand Theodore Alexander of High Point, North Carolina, in the 1990s. Based on a 19th century Italian design and exceptionally well-crafted, with solid cast brass monkey head pulls and full-bodied cast monkeys mounted on the base. Very good overall condition. Extremely heavy and will require two strong indivduals to move. Originally sold for over $4,000 in the 90s and no longer being produced.
