About

Finer Things Antiques & Curios was founded in 2004 by Halifax antique dealers Jack Craft & Julianne McDonald, at a time when there were many antiques stores in the city. Through the course of its existence the business has become known for a diverse inventory spanning 200-plus years of history and design. All of the store's antiques are sourced right here in Nova Scotia and they've sold and shipped pieces to discerning collectors worldwide. 20 years later, their location remains only one of two antique stores in Halifax.

Jack Craft is a respected antiques dealer in Halifax and a registered member of the Canadian Professional Appraisers, and he was the first antiques dealer in Halifax to become an official member of the prestigious Canadian Antique Dealers Association (CADA), a national association founded upon its core values of knowledge, experience and integrity. Mr. Craft has undertaken antiques appraisals for various local institutions including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Government House and Province House.
