Beautiful condition late 19th or early 20th century shipwright's adze. I've had quite a few adzes over the years but this is the first I've encountered where the maker crafted a fancy handle. This example has a wonderful stacked handle crafted from pieces of solid oak and mahogany. Excellent condition.
