A superb little wooden carving actually done as a lamp base, depicting two ducks, one of which is taking flight. The tree trunk in the background is hollowed to hold a lamp cord and socket, but I'm not sure this was ever done up as a lamp. Circa 1940. Signed on underside by Rosaire Audet, of Loretteville, Quebec.
