Very seldom do we see a primitive dressing table mirror, as most are quite ornate and done in fancy hardwood. This particular example was found here in Halifax and is of very simple construction in pine, with original old red wash. There is no indication the front cubby ever had a lid or cover of any sort. It is simply an open well for holding vanity bottles, combs and such. Circa 1900.
