A rustic, primitively-constructed bail-handled gathering basket, Acadian Shore region of Yarmouth county. Nicely-weathered but in good structural condition. Late 19th/early 20th century. Unsure of intended use, but could've served well for hauling fish, gathering clams, or picking apples.
