Superb paint--decorated Lapland, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia ox yoke from the collection of Richard Henning Field, author of the renowned folk art reference bible "Spirit of Nova Scotia." A simplified depiction of the Nova Scotia coat of arms can be found painted at the yoke's center. As well, there are stars, hearts and diamonds. This yoke is depicted on page 204 of Spirit of Nova Scotia.
