An interesting piece of Snider Enfield history, this example was manufactured in Nepal, reverse-engineered by Nepalese army gunsmiths after receiving several orders of British-made Snider Enfields. Due to tensions between India, Tibet and China, Nepal found it difficult to import British firearms, so they copied the British design. The Nepalese examples are very similar in appearance, but show more hand finishing and most notably an attractive teak stock. This rifle is in good mechanical condition and has been fired numerous times by the previous owner.
