A competent oil on artist's board of lilies and snapdragons by Dorothy Harris McLarren of Nova Scotia and Montreal. McLarren graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art in 1930 and won the Eaton Prize for Painting Excellent. She studied with such accomplished artists as Stanley Royal and Emile Gruppe, and she was president of the Nova Scotia Society of Art in 1947 and '48. 

This painting's overall framed dimensions are 17" x 21" and there is an original label on the reverse outlining McLarren's background and accomplishments.
