Unusual Meiji period porcelain statue depicting a snake wrapped around the mountain. The underside carries the mark of Tashiro Monzaemon, a 19th century samurai most known for his contributions to the porcelain export trade based in the Arita region during the Meiji period. Late 19th century. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
