A superb, large watercolour depicting "Harold Price's Henhouse" by Nova Scotia artist Ken Tolmie. This painting was from Tolmie's well-known Bridgetown Series that began in 1977 and ended in 1986. This watercolour was part of an important trans-Canada tour showing the series through 1982-1986, put on by the Owens Gallery of Mount Allison University and National Museums Canada. The painting was also featured in the book A Rural Life, published by Oberon Press in 1986. This 21.5" x 29.5" painting is professionally matted and mounted in a massive 30" x 38" frame, making for an impressive piece of wall art with a storied past.
