A colourful, cubist-style oil on canvas of the Halifax skyline painted by Catherine Beecher Weld in 1967. Beecher Weld served as the president of the Nova Scotia Society of Artists in the mid-20th century and was a contemporary of Leroy Zwicker. His influence is clearly visible in this work. This is a fairly large painting at 24" x 30", and with a total framed size is 28.5" x 34.5". This painting would benefit from a new frame.
