SOLD

A gold stickpin marked on the reverse 15ct. The 15ct gold standard was most often used by British and Canadian goldsmiths of the 19th century. The circa 1890's stickpin pin features its original stylized velvet and silk clamshell hinged case which has the jeweler's stamp J.R. Webster, Kentville, N.S. inside the lid. Webster seemed to be a bit of a jack of all trades, listed as a jeweller and watchmaker, as well as an optician and agent for Cleveland bicycles. Webster was also operational in Wolfville for a period of time. This stickpin is 1.2 grams gross weight.
