Fort Garry/Grand Trunk Candelabra
Ref: 11118
A rare matching pair of 3-socket silverplate candelabra from the Fort Garry Hotel of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. These are of particularly fine quality heavy plate with engraved crest on the top of the foot. These would've been manufactured circa 1913, when the Fort Garry Hotel first opened, as well as within the time period the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway operated until 1919 when it became part of the Canadian National Railway. Interestingly, these are manufactured in such a way that they could also be wired as electric lamps, if desired. Price is for the pair.
These have developed a pleasant, even age-toning to the surface, so we've chosen to leave them as found rather than polish them, atlhough they would certainly buff up well.
Dimensions: 14.5"x12"x5"
