A large and heavy solid mahogany cellaret of sarcophagus form, from the English Regency period circa 1820. Choice figured mahogany wood with a thick footed base featuring large recessed brass casters. The previous owners had a custom-fitted lift-out steel liner made for the interior so that it could be used to hold ice. The original key with brass tag is also present and the lock is in good working order. Overall condition is excellent.
