Although not an antique, this monumental 7-foot Chinese altar-style console table is a magnificent display of craftsmanship. It was custom-made 25 years ago by a small workshop in Guangzhou, China, as a commission piece, and sold to the previous owner for over $4,000 USD. It exhibits traditional through-tenon construction to the top, with everted scroll ends and a thick blind fretwork carved apron. The panelled pedestal ends feature elaborate carved phoenix and longevity motifs. Measures 86" x 18" x 35".
