Exceptional quality brass-bound 7-day straight razor case in coromandel wood. Stunning graining to this wood, secured with slim recessed brass reinforced corners, brass keyhole escutcheon and brass monogram cartouche. These campaign-style cases were often carried by military and naval officers. The lid opens to reveal a fitted interior with seven straight razors as well as a piece of leather for stropping. Please note that a couple of the razors have chips to the blades. Circa 1870.
