A beautiful circa 1930 Art Deco period church tabernacle out of Amherst, Nova Scotia. Very heavy solid brass and bronze construction with weighted, wood-lined interior. Gothic arched door flanked by stylized Art Deco angels. The cap lifts off, making for a flat surface ideal as a plinth or display stand for a large sculpture. The tabernacle size not including the lift-off cap is 20.5" x 20.5" x 28", and with the addition of the cap and cross the total height goes to 36". The door does not have a key but the lock is of the variety that could be quite easily replaced.
