A stellar George III Chippendale period English tall-case clock by well-regarded maker Obadiah Brandreth of Middlewich, circa 1770. Brass and silvered dial housed within a fine case exhibiting a tour-de-force of coveted features, including blind fretwork, dentil moulding, fluted Corinthian full and quarter columns, gilded bronze mounts, highly-figured Honduran crotch mahogany and original ogee bracket feet. This clock is from the highly-regarded Kent Lodge collection of Reg & Pat Moore, Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
