A 19th century mouse skull discovered inside a tiny cardboard box for storing clock pins. This little oddity has a fun story attached to it. It came from the estate of an elderly couple here in Halifax. The wife said that when she was a wee tot, her grandfather would pull this out of the desk drawer to show guests, and proceed to tell everyone how it was found inside the hood of a tall-case clock that was being serviced, and the skull was in fact the last remnant of the mouse from the nursery rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock. Unfortunately we can't sell the story.
