A wonderful and somewhat scarce collection of four 18th century "reverse face" engravings, published in the year 1790 by I. Wallis of London. The Wallis family was well-known for publishing early educational games, toys, and maps. A "reverse face" is a sketched profile portrait of a person that can be viewed as an entirely different face when turned upside down. Each engraving is 3.5" x 5" and the total framed size of each is 6.5" x 8.5". Some minor foxing, soiling, creasing but overall presenting well. Price is for the set.
Dimensions: 6.5"x8.5"
