Selling Your Antiques


SELLING ANTIQUES -- Finer Things Antiques & Curios has been in business for over 20 years and is one of only two antique stores currently located in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. With a store featuring good turn-around, we are always looking to add to our existing inventory of antiques. Our buyer is available at the Halifax store on Fridays and Saturdays to view items but will also do house calls to view estate lots and larger collections throughout Nova Scotia. We will purchase antiques and collectibles outright and are willing to pay with whatever method is your preference. Be assured that confidentiality and discretion are hallmarks of our service. House calls are a daily event for us here in Halifax but sometimes the easiest option is to simply e-mail a handful of photographs.  If you are in Nova Scotia and selling antiques, photos may be directed to: mail@finerthingsantiques.com or texted to 902-456-1412. 

As veterans in the antiques business, the best advice we can give is to not dispose of ANYTHING until we've had the opportunity to see it.  Quite often it's the seemingly insignificant things that may have the most interest to us...it's not uncommon for us to find the most value in the basement, the attic or the garage, or even in the newly-filled dumpster sitting outside -- so err on the side of caution and let us have a look first. We do not want items to end up in Nova Scotia landfills that may be more suitable on display in an antique store in Halifax.
