A delightful primitive mid-to-late 19th century pine clock carcass with nautical motif painted wooden face. Note that this clock does not have any works or weights -- it is the carcass, hood and face only, but does feature an added modern batt-op movement to make it a functional timepiece. The door has the original iron skeleton key and with a bit of imagination the interior could be converted into a small cupboard or liquor hide with the addition of shelving. Interestingly, the painted wooden face carries the various colours of the New Brunswick provincial flag.
