Loving cup style silverplate trophy with stag antler handles, presented in 1912 by Mr. George McAvity (of the well-known McAvity foundry family of St. John, New Brunswick). This is the Stetson Cup Runner's Up trophy. The Stetson Field Day was held at the Riverside Golf Club, one of America's oldest clubs, founded in 1893 and incorporated in 1913. When this trophy was awarded in 1912, the club was still referred to as the St. John Golf Club, and the club is still active to this day.
