A fine acrylic on artist's board by Don Connolly, depicting a Handley Page Halifax bomber limping in for a landing with one engine down, with emergency vehicles poised in the background. This original work is 12" x 24" and nicely-framed.

Connolly is considered one of Canada's leading aviation artists and his works are included in the Canadian War Museum as well as the Aviation Museum in Ottawa. His paintings have appeared as cover illustrations for books and magazines and in 2003 he was invited by the USAF Museum to display ten of his paintings as the international representative for Canada's aviation art.
