A scarce and most interesting Georgian era late 18th/early 19th century textile fragment that is copper/roller plate printed on cotton and mounted within an oak frame. What makes this a particularly interesting object is that it was obviously designed for seafaring families, featuring depictions of Royal Navy man-of-war with 30-plus guns and flying the British Navy red ensign. This piece looks to have been framed in the early 1900's and carries a label on the back for Charles B. Jarvis, a Washington D.C. fine arts dealer active in the early 20th century.

Dimensions: 16.5"x25.25"
