Frankenstein Exhibitor’s Sheet w/Lugosi
Ref: 8535
Scarce original advertising sheet from the 1931 large format publication "The Big Book from Universal 1931-1932", an annual exhibitor's guide that was only mailed to theatres in promotion of upcoming films for Universal's 1931-32 movie campaign. This pictorial advertisement was released while Frankenstein was still in pre-production and while Bela Lugosi was still expected to be the star of the show. At the last minute, of course, Boris Karloff was chosen and the rest is history. Frankenstein was a huge hit and it was a decision Lugosi came to regret for the remainder of his life.
This sheet measures 10.5" x 14.25" and it is mounted in a period frame for display. Total framed size is 17" x 20". Overall condition is fairly good aside from one upper left corner crease.
Dimensions: 17"x20"
