$300.00

A magnificent and very early piece of watercolour folk portraiture found within the pages of a circa 1830 scrapbook belonging to Maria Lungley, who maried Clement Tabor of Rayne, Essex, England, then later passed down to family in Upper Canada. It appears to have been done by one of her friends and then glued it into her scrapbook. It has since been mounted within a period frame. The portraits show various hat and necktie styles, including The Regent's Hat, The Noble Lord's Hat, The Dandy Hat, and The Petersham Hat. Neckties include The Ball Room Tie, The Irish Tie, the Oriental Tie, and one whose name I can't make out. Total framed size is 11" x 13".

Dimensions: 11"x13"
