Acadian or Mi'kmaw string puzzle made of wood. Not absolutely sure how this works but the old Acadian fellow who owned it said it's basically a puzzle where you have to figure out how to remove the string. Hand-crafted and looks to be a good 100 or more years old. The string has obviously been replaced at some point. A neat sculptural oddity.
