Primitive Small Cupboard/Chest

Primitive Small Cupboard/Chest

Primitive Small Cupboard/Chest

Ref: 4784

A neat quirky little circa 1900 cupboard/chest from Shelburne County, likely made by a country craftsman for a specific space within a home or possibly for use on board a boat. All pine construction with simple butt joints and a combination of round and square nails. The cupboard originally had an oxblood paint which looks to have been overpainted sometime between 1920-1940. As well, the pulls have been replaced. A very functional small piece of furniture with great folky eye appeal.
