A whimsical circa 1920 figural carved over-door gutter with fish at each terminus. Small copper inset “tongues” protrude from each fish’s mouth, allowing the water to flow out. This piece was removed from an 1880’s period home in the historic fishing town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and it is believed to be is circa 1920. Paint and wood show expected age and wear from exposure, aside from the eyes which have obviously been touched up in the recent past. This would make for a wonderful wall shelf.
