A beautiful example of a Waterloo era 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Officer's sabre by Osborn & Gunby. Blued and gilted blade with image of Britannia on one side and crown over "GR" cypher on the other. Osborn & Gunby operated together from 1806 to 1820. See additional photos. Although the standard trooper's sword does turn up fairly frequently, these highly desirable decorated officer's models do not.
